Slack

Post new leads and bookings to a channel and mention the right rep.

Post new leads and bookings to Slack so the right person can follow up in seconds. Slack messages come from router Notify steps, next to (or instead of) email.

Connect Slack

  1. Create a Slack app at api.slack.com/apps (From scratch) in your Slack workspace.
  2. Under OAuth & Permissions → Bot Token Scopes, add chat:write, channels:read, groups:read, channels:join and users:read.email.
  3. Click Install to Workspace and copy the Bot User OAuth Token (xoxb-…).
  4. In Cauliflower open Integrations → Slack, paste the token and pick a default channel. Send a test message checks that everything works.
ScopeWhy
chat:writePost messages.
channels:read, groups:readList channels to pick from.
channels:joinJoin a public channel automatically the first time it's used.
users:read.emailMention the assigned rep by matching their email.

Private channels need the app invited first: type /invite @your-app in the channel.

Notify a channel from a router

In a router, add a Notify step to a path and switch on Slack. Choose the channel (or leave it on the workspace default) and, optionally, Notify the assignee — the rep picked on the path, or the lead's owner, is then @-mentioned when their Slack email matches their Cauliflower email.

The message shows the lead's name, email, company, title and size from enrichment, the router and path that matched, the outcome (booked, assigned, disqualified…) and the assignee, with your custom message at the top and a button to open the lead. When a path shows a calendar and the rep isn't known until the lead books, the message is posted when the meeting is booked.

Slack posts run in the background with retries, so a Slack outage never slows down routing.

Availability

Slack notifications can be switched off per workspace by the operator of your installation. If you don't see Slack under Integrations, ask your administrator.
